2020 상반기 국내 자동차 산업 생산•수출 감소...내수 증가<br /><br />South Korea's car production has been hit hard by COVID-19, but it has still done better than its global rivals.<br />According to the Trade Ministry, around one-point-six million units were made by local auto firms over the first six months of this year.<br />That's down 20 percent on the previous year's figures.<br />But despite that drop, Korea actually moved up in the global production rankings, climbing from 7th to 4th.<br />Korea's car exports also plunged by around 33 percent on-year over the same period, but domestic sales were up by more than 7 percent, and exports of electric and hydrogen vehicles soared by 82 percent and 68 percent, respectively.<br />
